‘Ax Chair’ by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen

Designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen, the iconic “Axe Chair” was produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark during the 1950s.
The chair features a sculptural frame in molded beech plywood, paired with a beautifully hand-carved seat in solid teak and plywood. The Chair stands on four elegantly legs with a mahogany core, providing both structural strength and a refined visual warmth, characteristic of Danish modern craftsmanship.
