Adrian and Ditte Heath

Adrian Heath (b. 1923) is an architect who studied at The School of Architecture in London, graduating in 1951. Following his studies, he worked with the renowned Danish firm Hvidt & Mølgaard.

Ditte Heath (1923–2004) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts School in 1948. After holding positions in London, she, along with Adrian, joined the architectural office of the London Council, where they worked from 1951 to 1958.

In 1963, the couple founded their own design studio, focusing on housing and industrial design. Beyond architecture, Adrian and Ditte Heath also ventured into furniture design, collaborating with well-known manufacturers such as France & Son, CADO, FDB Møbler, and master cabinetmaker Søren Horn. While their furniture designs were few in number, several pieces remain in production today, thanks to master carpenter Niels Roth Andersen.

Between 1968 and 1969, Adrian and Ditte taught at the Aarhus School of Architecture in Denmark, where they helped train a new generation of architects and designers. The pair also contributed to the design discourse through a series of articles and writings on the subject.
